“He must increase, but I must decrease." (John 3:30)

In the same way that the moon mirrors the Sun's unseen beauty,
Across the expanse of ocean before me,
Lord I want to reflect your glory,
Have Your way.

When I gaze upon the stars you placed above,
I can only think upon your endless love,
As they remind me of the steadfast promise,
You made to Abraham long ago.

So though I feel the shame of past regrets,
As the moon sinks behind the silhouettes,
Of the mountains before me my soul finds rest,
In the promises of Your word.

"I have removed your sins," my Redeemer says,
"As far as the east is from the West,
And by My power conquered death,
And have given you both life and rest."

So in the same way that the moon mirrors the Sun's unseen beauty,
Across the expanse of ocean before me,
Lord I want to reflect Your glory,
Have Your way!
Amen.

“He must increase, but I must decrease." (John 3:30)
This was from a year ago, where I sat on Capernwray's dock watching the moon sink behind the mountains late at night.  Jehovah God is indescribable, and amazing, and Jesus Christ truly is Lord, and our mercifully loving Saviour, glory to Him alone.  Hallelujah. Amen.
